See this movie! To be honest, I had low expectations for this movie. I figured it would just be a bunch of axe action scenes according to the trailer which I thought was a good enough reason to go. I went to the 2d midnight premiere just for fun. I was pleasantly surprised that this movie had good acting, good writing, and an engaging plot. There are twists that keep the story interesting and moving forward. Character development is great because it incorporates sections where he is a boy, a young man, and then the president showing his growth as a person and vampire hunter until the final climax. Furthermore, the action scenes were awesome! It uses a technique where the camera switches from slow mo to fast paced, similar to Sherlock Holmes. It works really well. It may sound like a dumb movie, but I think people should give it a try. I was very happy I went to see it.

Went to the 12pm with friends...Great visuals, excellent dialogue, comedy, fantastic special effects and a twist on a very interesting bit of American history. The story is easy to follow and the twists and turns added with the physical realism knocked my socks off! Going back today to see it in 2D! Next to the Avengers this movie delivers that same feeling of fun and entertainment we all look for in movies today.

I am no easily-pleased movie-goer. While I generally think well of movies, rarely do I think of them highly. This is an exception. While there is much I would like to say, I'll keep it brief to prevent spoilers. The action is excellent, though from what I hear the 3D version gives headaches, so go seen the 2D one. The romance is low-key and doesn't interfere with the main plot more than it needs to. The villains are superb, and make your skin crawl with just a look. Overall, a must-see! Don;t trust the critics, put this on your list of t-go movies this summer!
